Awards Dinner
The DC Touchdown Club kicked things off with its Awards Dinner on Friday, March 8 at Carmines. Emcee Rick "Doc" Walker led the way, with featured speaker DeMaurice Smith, executive director of the NFLPA. Virginia Tech Head Coach Frank Beamer was among the honorees.
Golf Outing
What's on deck for the DC Touchdown Club? A golf outing on Friday, June 7 at Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club in Leesburg, VA. The event will bring together the Washington-area's football community for a great event benefiting the Bill Phillips Memorial Fund.

It's a new touchdown club for Washington, as Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post wrote in a post on his popular DC Sports Bog. The DC Bowl Committee is bringing the Washington-area football community together to celebrate a great tradition and have a philanthropic impact too.
