Week 2: Jordan Addison, USC
/University of Southern California wide receiver Jordan Addison, who played at Tuscarora High School in Frederick, has been named the DC Touchdown Club Washington Metro College Football Player of the Week.
Addison won the award twice last season while starring at Pittsburgh and was named the DC Touchdown Club Washington Metro College Player of the Year. He also received the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s top wide receiver.
Addison’s offseason transfer to USC caused an uproar, but on the field he has continued scorching defenses, much as he did throughout his first two seasons at Pitt.
This past Saturday, Addison caught seven passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns as USC beat Stanford, 41-28. In two games this season, Addison has 12 catches for 226 yards and four touchdowns as the Trojans are off to a 2-0 start, with Addison and quarterback Caleb Williams (Gonzaga) leading the way.
